I Call Bullsh–

“We will not release or comment on our audit report on the G8 Legacy Infrastructure Fund. Under the Auditor General Act, we can only present reports when Parliament is sitting. The Office of the Auditor General of Canada remains the custodian of its reports until they are presented to the Speaker of the House of Commons for tabling.”

-Auditor General Sheila Fraser

Utter BullshitFunny, ain’t it, how just when the Terrifying Tory Majority™ was starting to look more and more likely (uh, waitaminit, wasn’t the Tory campaign supposed to be stalled??), out of nowhere pops up one of those handy-dandy “leaked documents” that news outlets love so much.

Next thing you know, it’s all AHA!  AHA!  GOTCHA!GOTCHA!GOTCHA!

Gimme a friggin’ break.

CP supposedly has a draft of a confidential report Sheila Fraser was to have tabled in Parliament on April 5.  Now they’re claiming that:

The Harper government misinformed Parliament to win approval for a $50-million G8 fund that lavished money on dubious projects in a Conservative riding, the auditor general has concluded.

And she suggests the process by which the funding was approved may have been illegal.

Well, now.  Ain’t that just some damning stuff, huh?  The only fly in the ointment seems to be that the AG doesn’t want to go along with the little dog and pony show.  Unfortunately, the law does not allow her to come right out and address this head-on, but there are a few things that she can say: (more…)

Of Floodgates and Fraudulence

“I think of the fall of Jerusalem in 69 A.D., and the fall of Rome, and of the USSR — no civilization falls because of external threats. They fall because of internal corruption, because of failing to be who they say they are.”

Great BritainIt’s no secret to anyone, nor has it been for a very long time now, that the political Left are infatuated with the politics of ethnic divisionism.  Despite all their accusations of “divisiveness” aimed at their opponents, it is and has always been they who gain the most by pitting cultures, classes and races against one another.

It has also long been suspected that the Left’s fetish for multiculturalism and mass immigration — even the importation of cultures violently opposed to their own interests — has more to do with keeping assorted socialists and neoliberals in power than with any of the problems those policies are accused of solving.  Suspected and met with apoplectic denials.

As increasingly pissed off Brits are finding out, the suspicions were truer than most would have thought possible.  Turns out the far-right kooks were right after all. (more…)

Big Nanny Goes Berserk

The Nanny StateSweet jumpin’ Jesus! I knew things were bad but just when the hell did things go this far off the damned rails???

For decades now, the illustrious forces of Those Who Know What’s Best For You have been passing one law after another, for no other apparent reason than trying to put the Darwin Awards out of business. There’s actually still a statute on the books against “sexual congress” with polar bears. 😯 How the hell that one ever came about in the first place, I do not want to know…

Naturally, all this meddlesome governmental busybody-ness led to greater and greater intrusion into our lives on the part of those who believe right down to their bones that an individual is just too damned stupid to be trusted to act in their own best interests. That was all bad enough, but Big Nanny seems to have totally lost it with her latest stunt. It seems we can’t even be trusted to ride a damned escalator by ourselves anymore:

Anyone who has ridden an escalator and bothered to pay attention has seen – and likely ignored – little signs suggesting riders hold the grimy handrail.

In Montreal’s subway system, the friendly advice seems to have taken on the force of law, backed by a $100 fine.

Bela Kosoian, a 38-year-old mother of two, says when she didn’t hold the handrail Wednesday she was cuffed, dragged into a small holding cell and fined.

Why can I never be making this stuff up? The article also mentions that the victim (because that’s what she is: a victim of a maniacally overweening state) “had been sick and feared catching a new bug.” I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen some escalator rails that I wouldn’t have grabbed with Pierre Trudeau’s hand!

And just what does the Société de transport de Montréal, the malignant Nanny in question for our story, have to say about all this? Well, it’s basically the same thing that all tyrants have to say for themselves, of course. Just with a little customization to their interests:Utter Bullshit

it is forbidden for all persons to disobey a directive or a pictogram posted by the Société.

Yes, indeed comrade; we can’t have those stinking proletariats disobeying the Holy Directives now, can we? Now let’s just sit back and watch the show as they try to backpedal when the shit hits the Public Outrage Fan®.

At least it should be a way to kill a slow afternoon.

Too clever by half: How CAMH shrinks fooled Canadian Justice System

Too clever by half: How CAMH shrinks fooled Canadian Justice System and hid from Canadian public greatest case of mass murder in Canadian history (Morgentaler excluded).

In late 1980ties Eli Lilly and Co. was conducting research on chemical substance called Olanzapine or 2-methyl-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-10H-thieno[2,3-b][1,5]benzodiazepine with intent of manufacturing and selling it as a psychotropic drug. Testing of chemicals with intent to use them as psychotropic drugs is extremely difficult due to the fact that testing on animals does not provide any clue as to their effectiveness in treating humans suffering from mental illness. As much as it is possible to recreate certain type of cancer in mouse or a rat and test on them various chemical substances in order to find a cure it is impossible to create schizophrenic mice, rat or even a monkey in order to test various chemical substances in order to determine if they could alleviate any symptoms or provide the cure. Ridiculous tales of Mrs. Myriam Bédard.

Ridiculous tales of Mrs. Myriam Bédard:

On Wednesday, March 24, 2004 Mrs. Myriam Bédard: testified in front of Standing Committee on Public Accounts during 3rd SESSION of 37th PARLIAMENT.

Quote:

Mr. Jason Kenney: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Thank you, Mrs. Bédard.

In your statement, you said, and I quote: “I had previously heard Mr. LeFrançois say that Groupaction was involved in drug trafficking. I was afraid and psychologically paralyzed.” Can you explain to us the context in which Mr. LeFrançois made that comment?

Mrs. Myriam Bédard: Yes, that happened in September 2001. Mr. LeFrançois was encouraging me to start up my own advertising company. I told him I liked my work at VIA Rail because I could do a number of projects there and that I didn’t see why I would set up my own advertising business. He then told me something else. I’ll try to repeat his words faithfully because I want to quote him right. He told me: “Groupaction is building a big castle and they don’t always do things right. They’re involved in drug trafficking.” He added that someone should eventually inherit Groupaction’s contracts. That’s why he encouraged me to open my own advertising company, which I did around September 26, 2001. However, one week later, he called me into his office and told me that he had said too much the previous week and that I should forget that. That’s what he told me. Is it true? Is it not true? That’s what Mr. LeFrançois told me.

That’s why, when they wanted to send me to Groupaction, I didn’t agree at all. There were some doubts about illegal things being done there. I especially didn’t want to be associated with those kinds of things.

Her testimony at the time exposed her to public ridicule. How much truth was there to it?? (more…)

How’s This …

… for a chilling conversation fragment to overhear at your local pub?

“It could be done. It would take fewer than a hundred men to storm parliament and gun every one of those bastards down.”

No, I’m not making that up. But I wish I was.

Anybody who doesn’t live in a cave already knows what kind of Machiavellian shit has been going down in Ottawa lately. Never mind that they just had their worst electoral performance in the history of confederation (an even worse showing than they put in for the Diefenbaker and Mulroney landslides), the God damned Librano$ still think that they should be the ones to govern the country.

So what if the Canadian people didn’t elect us? So what if the Canadian people not only gave the Tories another government, but a strengthened one at that? Screw the Canadian people. WE rule this country as our God-given right because WE are the Liberals! If those unwashed idiots are too stupid to elect us, then to hell with them.

Lets’ get something straight: I’m not scared of this so-called “coalition” getting their hands on the national tiller. If it happens, it won’t last and as far as I’m concerned, if the Grits want to pull the pin on that political grenade and swallow it, I say “bon appetit!” You want to know what does scare me? This does (think damned hard about it, too):

  1. No matter what their protests to the contrary may be, this is about nothing more than greed and lust for power. Period. They couldn’t get elected and were threatened with having their lips pried loose from the public teat, so they plot the overthrow of the democratically elected government by coup d’etat. And that is exactly what it is.
  2. There are men in this country who will be sorely tempted to take matters into their own hands. No, I’m not talking about drunken braggarts; I’m talking about dead serious sons of bitches who will not fool around. And if that genie gets out of its bottle, God help us…

Here’s hoping things get a lot more boring real soon.
