One Down…

CourtsAnd how many more hundreds to go? If I start seeing this kind of thing on a regular basis, I might have to create an “Un-stupid Judge Tricks” category to file them under.

Some of you might remember the name of Angel Jones. He’s the shithouse-rat-crazy whackjob from Hogtown that munched off his girlfriend’s nose back in February of ’04…

During the dangerous offender hearing, court heard Jones bit his lover’s nose off just hours after being released from jail in February 2004.

He then beat and tortured the woman for an hour while smoking a cigar. During the vicious attack, Jones also called 911 and taunted an operator. The conversation, therefore, was recorded on tape.

The victim, whose identity is protected by a court order, was able to get to the phone and say she feared she was going to be killed.

“What’s going on there?” the dispatcher asked.

“I don’t know … he’s going to kill me. He said he’s going to hurt me,” the victim says.

The dispatcher heard the victim say “Brimley Road,” but because the call was made from a cell phone, police could not pinpoint her exact location.

Officers drove around the area blasting air horns so the operator could hear the dispatcher. The plan worked, and police found Jones and his victim.

Doctors were unable to attach the woman’s nose. She has undergone numerous reconstructive surgeries and her nose has been rebuilt, but she testified she doesn’t recognize herself now.

Angel JonesYeah, he’s a real gem, alright. As the Freeps put it: “Two forensic psychiatrists concluded Jones is a narcissistic psychopath and it is highly likely he will reoffend either sexually or violently.” It’s not like he hasn’t proven a pattern of behaviour:

In 2004, a jury convicted Jones of aggravated assault, uttering death threats and sexual assault for his attack. Jones has attacked his mother, stepfather, sister, girlfriends, fellow inmates, jail guards and anyone who would provoke him in the slightest.

So what the hell was this asshole doing walking around in the first place? Well, that’s one thing that we won’t have to worry about in the future:

TORONTO (Sun Media) – A psychopathic thug who chewed off his girlfriend’s nose and permanently disfigured her has been sent to prison indefinitely.

“His conduct was evil. He destroyed her attractiveness and murdered her personality,” Superior Court Justice Eugene Ewaschuk said yesterday as he declared Angel Jones, 30, a dangerous offender.

[…]

“Jones is an extremely dangerous man and he’s precisely the kind of individual the dangerous offender legislation was aimed at,” said Crown attorney Paul Amenta.

Finally, a judge that seems to get it. The question is: what the hell took the “justice” system so long to figure out that this psycho is beyond redemption? The guy was only in his late 20s and had 35 (yes, THIRTY-FIVE) previous convictions, fer Chrissakes!  What the hell were all the other judges thinking?

At least Ewaschuk showed some balls/brains…Thumbs up!

THIS Is What Should Be Protected??

RantsEvery time they catch a serial killer, all the same questions get asked: How did they get like this? What makes them like this? And my personal favourite: Why can’t we identify them early on so they can be locked up BEFORE they kill a bunch of innocent people?

So why is it that most of those same people who ask those questions are now, with an embryonic serial killer in the grasp of the system, making nothing but excuses? If there was ever any doubt that Jasmine Richardson is fucked up beyond retrieval, it was banished by the evidence presented today:

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. (CP) – A cartoon showing one person coating three others in gasoline and laughing as they’re burned alive was seized from a girl’s school locker just hours after her family was found stabbed to death, a jury heard Thursday.

Police and school staff discovered the cartoon during a frantic search for the girl after her parents and younger brother were found in their blood-soaked home in April 2006.

The drawing and testimony from the girl’s guidance counsellor came on the fourth day of the girl’s first-degree murder trial. The 13-year-old accused, who was 12 at the time of the deaths, can’t be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The 10-frame drawing starts off with four stick figures going for a walk as the sun shines. There are two clearly larger figures, a small third figure and a fourth labelled “Angry.”

The pencil-drawn narrative shows the fourth figure pouring gasoline into a sprinkler system, turning it on and drenching the others. The smallest figure is on a swing when it says, “Oh no, we’re covered in gasoline.”

The fourth figure then lights the gasoline and smiles as the others run around in flames and cry for help as their flesh is burned off.

The sequence ends with one stick figure lying on the ground. A caption reads “The Unimaginable Pain.” Two other smiling stick figures look on. A final frame depicts the fourth figure running off to a vehicle labelled as “Jeremy’s truck.”

The young girl’s co-accused and boyfriend at the time, 24-year-old Jeremy Steinke, faces the same three murder charges, but a date has yet to be set for his trial.

Jasmine RichardsonWell, there you have it. We finally caught a future Ted Bundy / Aileen Wuornos before she had the chance to rack up a double-digit body count and what are we told? Never mind who she is. Never mind that she’ll probably be out before she’s old enough to drink. It’s none of your business.

Like hell it isn’t. Ten years is it, and she won’t serve more than six. Then, she’ll be back on the same streets as my son. And she’s about the same age. My son has a right to be warned about this little psycho bitch.

Your kids have that right, too.

Flip-Flopping On Murder

Filed under: Alberta,Crime & Punishment,Justice,Sick,Society/Culture,Video,YCJA — Dennis @ 2:09 pm

Okay, I can admit it. Maybe I did blow the call. Maybe I did go entirely too easy on her because she’s a girl and would have had an entirely different view of the whole mess if she had been a boy. Maybe, as commentor Debbie on the previous post put it, “You wimped out. You know good and well that if this were a 13 year old boy…

Yes, I’m talking about Jasmine Richardson.

And now, I’m pretty damned sure that I blew it. Richardson is currently on trial in Medicine Hat, Alberta; charged with the murders of her parents and her 8 year-old brother. Originally, I was reluctant to mention her by name. At the very least, I had decided to keep it to myself until she gets convicted (if). But after what I’ve learned today, I just can’t do that anymore…

Members of the five-woman, seven-man jury listened intently to the evidence of forensic unit Const. Gerald Sadlemyer.

They then sombrely reviewed his booklet of nearly 50 macabre scene photographs, including the bloodied bodies of the three victims.

Among the most gruesome viewed by jurors was a photograph of the accused’s younger brother, lying in his underwear on his side on his blood-stained bed.

Jasmine RichardsonThe boy’s throat can be seen slashed, his eyes open, mouth agape.

Under the questioning of Crown prosecutor Stephanie Cleary, Sadlemyer detailed his examination of the family home — including the eight-year-old victim’s room.

“There was a lot of blood all over the walls and all over the boy,” said Sadlemyer, of the young victim who can’t be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The Guelph Mercury was even more disturbing:

With eyes wide open and surrounded by blood-soaked toys, an eight-year-old boy was found dead in his own bed in April 2006, an Alberta jury learned yesterday.

The body was two floors up from where the boy’s mother and father died in the basement of their home.

And the Chronicle Hearald tells how the parents didn’t go down easy:

Sadlemyer said the mother’s right hand had long hairs in it that were a light sandy colour: “It was as if she was grasping or holding onto it.”

She was clad only in a light nightgown that had been ripped and stained with blood.

Jasmine RichardsonIn addition to 12 stabbing punctures, the woman also had numerous “defensive wounds” that included cuts to her hands and the tips of her fingers.

Sadlemyer also testified that police found the body of her husband nearby, with stab wounds to nearly every part of his body, indicating signs of a violent struggle.

Blood stains and splatter covered almost everything in the basement, including the roof, the television, an exercise ball and the fireplace.

By all accounts, Jasmine Richardson was a good kid who never got into any trouble before she fell in with Jeremy Steinke. Clean cut, good grades and all that. Not hard to imagine from her picture at the top of this post. It’s from Wikipedia and was originally released to the media on April 23, 2006 (when the police were looking for her, but she was not an official suspect) but was suppressed on April 24 when she became a suspect (and was arrested). The other pics are from her myspace profile. Some progression, huh?

Yeah, I'm pissedI tried to show restraint; I did. But now, I don’t give a shit how good this kid used to be. I don’t give a shit how old she was at the time. Her name and face were spread across the whole country last year. You can’t put that genie back in the bottle. You don’t get to slaughter an entire family — especially your OWN family — and then hide!

Period.

Aberrant Ideologies

Why, yes, I AM PISSED OFF… how can you tell? It’s an inevitable and foreseeable consequence of the “tolerance” fetish that has infected Western society. Aberrant ideologies come with a price. Their adherents will tell you otherwise, but they’re lying. Either to you or to themselves, it makes no difference. Some willful self-deceptions simply cannot and will not be tolerated.

Which is why my most sincere compliments go out to the people in the jury pool in the state of Georgia who — in spite of all the cultural bombardment against being judgmental of “alternate lifestyles” — have proven themselves utterly incapable of such delusional bullshit and have loudly declared that WILLFUL STUPIDITY IS NO EXCUSE FOR KILLING A BABY:

Vegan parents in Georgia were sentenced Wednesday to life in prison after their 6-week-old son died of malnutrition.

The baby, Crown Shakur, weighed only 3.5 pounds. He’d been fed mostly soy milk and apple juice. Vegans typically do not consume animal products.Defense lawyers say the first-time parents did the best they could for their son while adhering to the strict lifestyle of vegans. They said Sanders and Thomas did not realize the baby — who was born in a bathtub at their home — was in danger until minutes before he died in April of 2004.

Cases like this are enough to make me question my stance against capital punishment. As you can imagine, I have a great deal more to say about this. But this is the sixth draft of this post that I have written and it’s the only one that hasn’t degenerated into a diatribe saturated with the kind of language that I try to avoid (here, at least).

Maybe I’ll have more to say once I cool down. IF … I cool down…

Rest in peace, wee one; your troubles are over. Crown Shakur

Rats In A Maze

Filed under: BS,Government,Justice,Ontario,Rants,Sick,Skullduggery,Unions,Waste — Dennis @ 2:37 pm

Ut Incepit Fidelis Sic PermanetLike rats in a maze.” That’s how Ombudsman Andre Marin described the way that the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board treats the victims of crime. So much for “helping the victims.”

For those of you that don’t know already, the CICB is the body that administers the Ontario’s Victim Justice Fund. The CICB is mandated by law to provide compensation to victims of violent crime and their families. Sounds like a good thing, right? The problem is that only about 1 in 40 victims actually get anything, and those that do still manage to get screwed by the bureaucrats

London, Ont., parent Aurelio Almeida, whose 5-year-old daughter Naiomi was raped and murdered in 2001, was challenged by the CICB to explain what his injuries were.

[…]

The mother of a woman who was decapitated had to provide a form in which a medical practitioner had drawn the location of the injuries on a diagram of a body.

Marin said the stalling and nitpicking was a deliberate attempt by the agency over the last decade to discourage claimants and stay within its budget as required by the ministry of the attorney general.

The OVJF gets its cash from victim surcharges — the extra money tacked on all provincial offences like speeding tickets and booze fines — that range from $10 to $125 until fine is $1,000 or more, when the victim surcharge becomes a flat 25%. That’s a buttload of money when you add it all up. So what DO they do with that money?

Among some of the bureaucratic asshattery that Marin found were:

  • Why, yes, I AM PISSED OFF… how can you tell?Staff at the board developed a “document fetish” and became so obsessed with having their lengthy application forms filled out perfectly that they rejected one man’s claim because he forgot to dot an i in his name.
  • Attorney General Michael Bryant broke the law by directing the board not to issue payments to save money and stay under budget.
  • Ontario’s Victim Justice Fund has an $80-million surplus that the government refuses to use to compensate victims of crime.
  • A man whose five-year-old daughter was raped and murdered who was treated as though he was trying to scam the board of money to pay for her funeral.
  • A mother of a murder victim “berated” for forgetting her file number.
  • A blind retiree who had to chose between buying food and burying her murdered daughter.

As much as I appreciate his bringing this mess to the light of day, Marin loses me when he starts saying that “It had no money. It was starved and forced into this situation and so the first thing we need to do is fund it properly.”

RantsAndre, buddy; the God damned thing’s got a surplus of EIGHTY MILLION BUCKS!! It ain’t cash-starved. 🙄 No; the problem here — like with so many other governmental bean-counting behemoths — is that the CICB and OVJF aren’t about helping victims at all. They’re about keeping a bunch of lazy, bloated, unionized bureaucrat parasites in jobs at public expense.

Don’t believe me? Well then, if I’m wrong, you’d expect the Fiberals to be hopping to get the damned mess fixed, wouldn’t you (after all, it is an election year)? Of course you would. But they’re not

AsshatteryAfter the report’s release, Conservative leader John Tory called on [Ontario Attorney General Michael] Bryant to resign.

What Bryant should do is toss out the CICB chair and the rest of the board. But Bryant indicated he wants them to help implement the changes. 😯

Talk about the fox and the friggin’ henhouse. But do you know what REALLY pisses me off about all this God damned this bullshit? IT’S BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A DECADE!! The McSquinty Fiberals knew about it and did nothing. “Chainsaw” Mike’s Tory government knew about and did jack shit. When the Dippers were running the show, Bob Rae was as useless on this issue as he was on any other.

Well, it’s hit the fan now and everybody’s gotten splattered with shit; so can we please knock it off with all the partisan prickdom? This one is EVERYBODY’S FAULT…

Talk about pots and kettles…

So quit the squabbling and FIX THE DAMNED THING!!

What Happens When Life Is Cheap

Well, WOULD you do this?Believe it or not, it takes a lot to disgust me. Really, I actually have a pretty high lose-my-lunch threshold. Sure, there are all kinds of things that annoy me, get on my nerves, and just piss me off in general, but there are actually very few things that are capable of outright utterly disgusting me. As you can probably guess, I’m about to tell you all about one of them.

The big lie that we get told over and over about abortion is that “abortion doesn’t really kill babies.” “It’s not a baby,” we hear; “it’s just tissue,” they say; and the biggest: “it’s the woman’s body and nobody else’s so it’s none of your business.” When backed into the dead end of their own arguments and cornered like rats in a trap over the question of just when the hell does human life begin, they almost always give the same answer: life begins at birth. The instant that a child is born, they say, it is now a person and fully entitled to the full protection of the law.

This cozy little theory makes them feel as if they comfortably occupy some sort of moral high ground. They aren’t killing unwanted babies, they’re performing a medical procedure, nothing more. No babies were harmed in the production of this atrocity.

Try telling that to Ximena Renaerts, who survived not only her own abortion but also the attempt to murder her that immedidately followed. And now, we have the sad tale of another child, born alive, who was not so lucky.

18-year old Sycloria Williams, told police that she had arrived at the facility July 20 for the second half of a late-term abortion. She says she gave birth to a living baby girl while sitting in a recliner in the facility’s recovery room. Ms. Williams told police that she had watched her daughter moving and gasping for air for approximately five minutes.

The warrant says that the staff “began screaming that the baby was alive.” Then, “Ms. Belkis Gonzalez cut the umbilical cord, threw it into a red bag with black printing. Ms. Gonzalez then swept the baby, with her hands, into the same red bag along with the gauze used during the procedure.”

Unlike Ximena, who was saved through the intervention of night nursing supervisor Joyce Hatherall, who refused to stand by and watch a helpless child perish*, the little girl born to Sycloria Williams had no “guardian angel” to come to her rescue. She died. This wasn’t a mistake; they murdered a baby, and they knew it:

Eight days later, police found the body of the child which Rojas had informed them had been treated with a caustic chemical and left in the heat of the Florida sun to accelerate decomposition in a possible attempt to dispose of the evidence.

Hialeah cops are treating the matter as a homicide investigation, as well they should. It’s cases like this that make me question my stance on capitol punishment. But we really shouldn’t be surprised by this. What kind of rabid state of denial does it take to convince oneself that someone that would gladly kill a child one minute, right before birth, would suddenly respect the life of that child a mere few moments later? When we allow our society to devalue human life, we cannot pretend to be surprised when we find that more and more individuals give it no value at all. No, we can’t.

* Mr. Berger states further, “We also had evidence that Dr. Jaroudi, called up to the ward, realized the baby had been delivered by Nadine Bourne, and realized it was viable, but nevertheless told the nurses not to resuscitate the baby (‘…let it go’). He was ignored by Joyce Hatherall.” – Taken from: Did Someone Try to Murder Ximena?, BC Report Newsmagazine, August 30, 1999
