GODDAMNIT…

[This post was originally created yesterday, sometime around noon, but server troubles prevented it from showing until today. Sorry for the lag, folks. -D]

CrimeTalk about the one that got away.

The front page of my Freeps this morning started off with “Almost got him.” As you can likely guess, the first thought through my melon was “what the hell do you mean, ‘almost‘??” It turns out that somebody out there had a pretty good idea where Jesse Imeson was stashing his ass at the time and decided to call it in.

So far, so good, right? Well, things kind of went pear-shaped from there. It seems that the caller, who I’m assuming really was well-intentioned, wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the box because instead of calling 911 — a no-brainer, I would think — they called… CrimeStoppers.

Days ago, police almost had the 22-year-old suspect, Donnelly revealed yesterday.

OPP officers had searched a woodlot in South Huron about 9:45 p.m. Friday, acting on a tip that Imeson had fled into the bush, but found nothing.

The next day, acting on clearer information, police searched an area only kilometres north of the original bush and found evidence Imeson had been hiding there, Donnelly said.

“Had we gotten (a) 911 call the night before, I’m confident we would have gotten him.”

At that point, police were looking for Imeson in connection with the killing of Windsor bartender Carlos Rivera.

On Monday, they found the bodies of an elderly Mount Carmel couple, Bill and Helene Regier, near the search area.

[…]

Three hours later, a CrimeStoppers tip reached police.

Donnelly didn’t say when the tip was called in, but noted it takes time for CrimeStoppers to filter and prioritize the tips that come in.

“It was one of dozens” placing Imeson in different locations, Donnelly said.

Even so, police reacted quickly once the tip got to them, he said.

The anonymous tipster said Imeson was dropped off at a rural intersection and fled into the bush.

By 9:45 p.m., the OPP was searching a bush lot at that intersection.

But with four different sets of farm and wooded areas heading out from the intersection, police didn’t know for sure which bush lot the tipster meant, Donnelly said.

“All we had was ‘near an intersection,’ ” he said.

Police chose what appeared to be the most likely bush near the intersection and searched in the dark, he said.

In other words, imagine having a “raccoon at night” tag but the coons have guns. The story also goes on to reveal a bit (but you can bet your arse, not all) of what the cops know so far about Imeson’s path from Windsor to Huron County:

Imeson left Windsor last Wednesday — July 18 — and was spotted in Grand Bend that day, Donnelly said.

He ended up in the Exeter area Wednesday night.

Lindsey Glavin, a young Huron Park-area woman, hooked up with him that night, according to family and friends.

Imeson and Glavin spent Thursday, Thursday night and Friday together in the Exeter area of Huron County.

Meanwhile, police were still focusing their search in Lambton County to the west.

On Friday, Glavin broke off the short relationship with Imeson.

On a Facebook page, a woman identifying herself as Lindsey Glavin said yesterday she “got rid of him” as soon as she learned he was wanted.

“I gave him a ride not knowing he was wanted for murder, so please don’t blame me,” the woman wrote.

“(He) . . . didn’t tell me he was wanted until the third day which is when I got rid of him,” she wrote.

And, getting back to that CrimeStoppers tip:

The next day, police got a tip Glavin was the one who dropped Imeson off Friday.

Police contacted her and arranged to meet at the specific location, Donnelly said.

“Now . . . she points us to where he was located.”

Yeah. NOW she points it out. Can anybody else practically hear that cop rolling his eyes? One last thought before I have to go:

Donnelly said the tipster who contacted CrimeStoppers had good intentions.

But the public should be aware that 911 — when callers reach a live person, who gathers details and sends the call on to an appropriate team — is the way to get police quickly in an emergency.

RantsAnd now, fresh off the presses from the Ministry Of You’ve Got To Be Shitting Me:

WINDSOR — The Windsor man wanted for three Southwestern Ontario slayings in a week had aspired to become a police officer, sources say.

Jesse Imeson, 22, arguably Ontario’s most wanted man, now also listed on the America’s Most Wanted website, had taken a policing program at a local career college, several students said yesterday.

Give me a God damned break…

Imeson-Instegated Policy Primer

Filed under: Audio,Blogosphere,John Q Public,Reader Questions,Rights,Security — Dennis @ 1:11 pm

HUH???Okay, there’s been a lot of chatter all of a sudden in the comments about just what I do and don’t delete on this site. It seems that just because I’ve admitted that I had to dump a few comments, some folks have taken it into their melons that this is a place where censorship lives.

It ain’t.

If you have something that you think is worth saying, by all means post it. Just don’t expect me (or anyone else here, for that matter) to agree with it. And do expect to be taken to task if somebody else gets pissed enough about what you have on your mind. It’s that simple. Some folks seem a little worried, though. Folks like Paul…

I will be disappointed if my comment is deleted as I’ve tried to stay positive about this whole thing, but even you all have to admit something more than the freaking OPP is needed in all of this.

And Lee Rock…

I am kinda sad that those other comments were deleted. […] and if my comment is deleted….well then that is just sad…this is a free country, with freedom of speech remember??? I liked hearing what other’s had to say, even tho they were a bit angry and upset…they were voicing their opinions and that is what Canada is all about….FREEDOM!!

First off, Lee is right. Voicing opinions is a big damned part of what Canada is all about. Uunless, of course, you voice a politically incorrect one, in which case you might find yourself battered from pillar to post through our “human rights” system, like Scott Brockie was. No need to worry about that here, though; I actually believe in giving air to those who agree with me AND those who don’t. It’s part of my belief in that whole messy democracy thing. Yeah, it’s a pain in the ass sometimes, but I live with it. So no, I’m not in the habit of killing comments just because they happen to piss me off.

There are, however, two things that need to be kept in mind:

  1. This is a public site and I actually do try to keep it at least half-assed family-friendly. Yes, I have a bit of a trashmouth but even I try to draw a line. Kids come to this site too and there’s some stuff that kids just plain don’t need to hear or read. So, to that end: Ray, if you don’t learn to put a filter on the sewer under your nose, I WILL ban your sorry ass. You’ve been stopping by here for a while but you’re getting to be like a dog that just won’t take to housebreaking and I’m getting sick and tired of cleaning up your crap. Other people get hot under the collar too, but they don’t put out the kind of shit that you have.
  2. Utter BullshitThis is a public forum for ideas, NOT a recruiting post for a God damned lynch mob. Anybody else tries a stunt like that, your IP goes straight to the cops. Period. Shooting some murderous prick in self-defense is one thing but hunting the bastard down and stringing him up without a trial is NOT something that I’m going to put up with. No more warnings.

Alright, folks, now that that bit of unpleasantness has been dealt with, I thought it would be a nice thing to put in a little something to boost the spirits of the folks back in my old Huron stompin’ grounds. If it won’t play in your browser for some reason, just click here and download it. A li’l Hank Jr never hurt nobody, right?

Enjoy, and remember: country folks can survive. (more…)

AlertsI know that this asshole has been taking up too much space in my blog lately but I mean to keep at it until this prick is either caught or gets his pumpkin blown off by Billybob Lunchbox from Huron County. And it’s looking like the odds of either are pretty much 50-50. Based on the bulk of the emails and comments I’ve been getting (some of which had to be removed), this son of a bitch is now nothing more than a walking, talking bullseye waiting for that bullet with his name on it.

Boo hoo. Bleep off

Those of you that have been coming here for a while already know that I like to hunt and that I’m also damned serious about hunting safety. Everybody knows (at least, everybody that I hang out with) that an important part of that safety is being able to properly identify your target. With that in mind, take a minute to click on the images on the right-hand side of this post to get a better view of them. Take a good long look, too.

Imeson is described as 22 years old, white, 6’1″, 200 lbs. with short brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on his arms. Police are asking the public to watch out for two stolen vehicles — a grey GMC Sierra pickup, with Ontario licence JK8334 and a green 2005 Ford Taurus, licence AXSR 755.

Getting back to what I was saying before about some of what I’ve been hearing…
Everybody that reads much here already knows that I have no moral compunctions whatsoever about blasting this son of a bitch right out of his Keds, but I CANNOT tell people enough: if you find yourself in a position in which you absolutely have to shoot in order to protect yourself or someone else, CHECK YOUR TARGETS! I had me a bump-in with what I’m sure is one of the ten jumpiest buggers on the planet last night — You know who you are: garrison boots, OFAH cap, and that old beat-to-shit .22 (looked like a Savage-Stevens) — that looked like if somebody cracked a loud fart, he’d jump three feet straight up. Not good.

Two good folks on Bronson Line have already died and we don’t need any more innocent people getting hurt. Don’t shoot unless you have to and make God damned sure what you’re aiming at! And if you can’t keep a cool head, leave ol’ Betsy in the closet before you shoot yourself in the foot or some such damn fool thing. I’ve got no problem with decent folks arming themselves for their own protection, but do it right. Keep your cool, confirm the target, mind your background and if he makes one wrong move, save us taxpayers some money.

Meantime, the official hunt is still on for Jesse Norman Imeson, as the Freeps and other outlets keep telling us. I can’t help but wonder who’s gonna find him first…

Lastly, but sure as hell not least, let’s not forget Bill and Helene…

Bill and Helene Regier

And let’s keep our eyes out for that son of a bitch Imeson.

Still Eyeballs Time [updated]

AlertsMurdering bastard Jesse Imeson seems to still be hiding his gutless ass someplace up in Huron County.

Word has it that the couple that he killed on Bronson Line were Bill and Helene Regier, an elderly couple that never did a damned thing against anybody. To their families and all those who knew them, you have my deepest sympathies. To the rest of you: take a good long look at this worthless son of a bitch so that you know who you’re looking for…

Jesse Imeson

Jesse Norman Imeson
AGE: 22
HEIGHT: 6’1″
WEIGHT: 200 lbs
HAIR: brown, almost shaved
EYES: brown
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: numerous tattoos on arms

That’s Jesse Imeson. This prick is responsible for three murders so far (that we know of) and as far as the OPP know, he’s still someplace up in Huron. From the look of the photo, he seems to have some sort of tattoo on the left side of his neck as well.

If you see this son of a bitch, don’t be going off half-cocked! First thing to do is to try to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or *OPP on your cell. Once that’s done, lock & load and hunker down, just in case.

But remember: if worse comes to worst, better him than you

— UPDATE —

The Grand Bend Strip website has some more info that might be useful:

The owner of a green 2005 Ford Taurus with a license plate AXSR 755 has reported the vehicle stolen, and police believe murder suspect Jesse Imeson could have taken the vehicle. It’s unclear when the car was stolen, and whether it has any connection to a double murder and truck theft at the home of Bill and Helena Regier on Bronson Line between Mount Carmel and Dashwood Monday.

If you see this vehicle or Imeson, call police immediately.

Keep your eyes peeled, folks.

Eyeballs Time [updated]

AlertsJesse Norman ImesonTake a good look at this asshole (click on the image for a better look). His name is Jesse Norman Imeson, he’s wanted for the murder of Carlos Rivera in Windsor and, if the cops are right, he’s hiding someplace up in my old stompin’ grounds of Huron County. The search started out in Grand Bend after cops found Rivera’s car abandoned there. Rivera was last seen sometime around six in the morning last Wednesday and cops have pretty much been looking for Imeson ever since…

Investigators tracing Rivera’s movements went to the Tap, a gay strip club in Windsor where he tended bar. Rivera didn’t show up for his Wednesday night shift, which wasn’t like him, friends said.

Rivera was last seen in his silver two-door Honda Civic, which was being driven by Imeson, police said.

Police went to Imeson’s Erie Street apartment in Windsor Thursday night and found Rivera’s “decomposing” body, said Windsor police Staff Sgt. William Donnelly.

Police then found Rivera’s car in Grand Bend early Friday.

There, investigators obtained video of Imeson and another man at Gables, a Main Street bar.

The surveillance images were taken sometime between Wednesday and Friday, police said.

Police fear the man in the video with Imeson might be in danger, and searched the town for clues to their whereabouts.

“We’ve been doing door-to-door searches, going to businesses and asking them if they recognize anyone,” Lambton OPP Const. Todd Monaghan said yesterday.

“We’re hoping the public knows something, or perhaps Mr. Imeson can put an end to this and come speak to us.”

The man with Imeson has collar-length hair and was wearing a dark ball cap and white shirt, police said.

Imeson is six-foot-one, 200 pounds with short, almost shaved brown hair, brown eyes and numerous tattoos on his arms.

Windsor police said Imeson is known to police.

The problem with trying to stash your ass up in Huron County is that it’s only a matter of time before somebody notices that… “you ain’t from around here, are ya?” Trust me on this one. I grew up there; I know. So keep your eyes peeled for this prick, ladies and gents. And if you see him, don’t go trying to be a smartass. Leave ol’ Betsy in the closet, right where she is, and call the OPP (1-888-310-1122 or *OPP on your cellphone).

— UPDATE —

Commentor tw has pointed out that this son of a bitch is now the prime suspect in a double murder near Dashwood. The Freeps’ website has some on it:

Jesse Norman Imeson, 22, was described by both Windsor Police Service and Huron County OPP as “a person of interest” in the murder of two elderly county residents, believed to be a married couple.

“Imeson . . . should be considered armed and very dangerous,” Windsor police said in a press release in which they said “two elderly residents from Huron County were found murdered in their residence.”Look for something like this

The victims’ pickup truck, a 2006 GMC Sierra, silver-grey in colour, was stolen sometime after 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, police said.

The vehicle’s licence number is JK8 344, police said, asking the public to report any sightings of it.

Forget what I said before. Break out ol’ Betsy, load her up and shoot this bastard on sight, before he kills you or someone you care about.

Tell Me Again Why I Live Here…?

RantsWell now, doesn’t this just suck?  Years ago, I decided that I’d move to London rather than TO for a number of reasons, not the least of which was the lower crime rate. Now, you may think that I was just being a naive, small-town rube (and maybe I was) but I liked the idea of living in a place where your chances were relatively low of getting shot, stabbed, robbed, or just having some punks break into your house and steal your booze.

Well, it looks like all that happy horseshit is up and gone like a FIberal election promise after the buggers get a majority…

Crime in the London area increased more than anywhere else in Canada last year, just as the national crime rate dropped to record lows, new numbers show.

Statistics Canada reported yesterday the nation’s crime rate dipped by three per cent in 2006, mainly due to fewer non-violent offences such as break-ins and minor thefts.

But in the census area that includes London, St. Thomas, Strathroy and Middlesex County, the overall crime rate jumped by nine per cent — the highest climb in the country.

I swear to God, Alberta keeps looking better and better as time goes on…
